The foundation of RGM was built upon our ability to produce high quality ground barstock. We started out doing finished diameters up to 1.000”. Today, we have centerless grinding manufacturing centers which cover the size range of 0.125” to 12.000” finished diameters. Process capabilities up to 40 feet in length exist for special applications. RGM is focused on making round bars rounder.
Turned ground and polished (TGP) and centerless ground (CG) bars are produced only when we present a straight, round cold finished bar into a grinding system. We utilize various abrasives, coolants, and technologies to assure your exacting dimensions for size, roundness, surface finish, and straightness are met. Process monitoring with laser mikes and vision systems allow us to maintain process control. For over a quarter century we have been grinding various materials in various conditions.
